IWF named twice in 2017 Digital Leaders 100 list

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) has been nominated twice for the renowned Digital Leaders list

The IWF and IWF’s Deputy CEO Fred Langford have been named in the 2017 Digital Leaders list.

The independent list recognises 100 individuals and organisations across the UK who are leading the way in digital transformation. Digital Leaders is a global initiative that promotes effective, long-term digital transformation across government and industries.

The IWF has been named Charity of the Year. IWF’s Deputy CEO and Director of Global Operations Fred Langford has been chosen as Digital Leader of the Year.

Lord Francis Maude of Horsham, Chair of Digital Leaders, commented: “The Digital Leaders 100 list 2017 is once again highlighting the progress that has been made in digitally transforming the UK across all sectors. Our Digital Leaders community have pulled out all the stops to let us know about the hidden heroes, quietly getting on with the UK’s digital transformation without themselves seeking recognition.”

This year’s 100 finalists will now compete for the public vote in one of the 10 categories. The category winners will be announced at the DL100 Awards Dinner on 22 June 2017.

We make the internet a safer place. We help victims of child sexual abuse worldwide by identifying and removing online images and videos of their abuse. We search for child sexual abuse images and videos and offer a place for the public to report them anonymously. We then have them removed.
