Payroll Giving for Employers

Payroll Giving is a great way to show your organisation’s commitment to ending child sexual abuse online and make it easy for employees to contribute directly to our work.

We rely on fundraising to protect children online and remove child sexual abuse imagery from the internet. Payroll Giving lets your PAYE employees donate directly from their salary before tax, making their contributions go further - especially for higher-rate taxpayers. It’s easy to set up - just follow the four simple steps below.

Why offer your employees Payroll Giving

  • Demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to giving back and supporting positive action against child sexual abuse.
  • Help employees to support the causes that they’re passionate about, boosting staff morale.
  • Payroll Giving is a straight-forward, secure and flexible way for employees to make regular donations. It’s easy to stop, start or change donations.
  • Anyone who on a PAYE salary can donate, making it an inclusive method of giving. There is no upper or lower limit to donations.

Promoting Payroll Giving

  • Let your employees know about Payroll Giving by sharing our toolkit. You could also speak about it in a team meeting, put up posters, or use your internal communications networks to raise awareness.
  • Match your employees’ contributions. Your organisation could donate a one-off amount for every employee who signs up to Payroll Giving; match employees’ donations fully (e.g. if an employee donates £10, your organisation also donates £10); or donate a set amount for every employee contribution. However you choose to boost your employees’ contributions, matching Payroll Giving contributions will give employees an additional incentive to sign up and help them make an even bigger impact!
  • Offer employees additional incentives, such as an entry into a prize draw, or a thank you from senior management.
  • Share how employees’ donations can make a difference. Just £10 could support our Hotline to remove a webpage from the internet which could show hundreds of images of child sexual abuse. Just imagine the impact if everyone in your organisation signs up!
