Torture Websites and Happy Slapping

There has been some recent incidences regarding the craze of "Happy Slapping". This is where an assailant or group of assailants bully, abuse or torture victims and record the incident on their camera phones. These images may then be circulated via mobile phones and posted on the internet.

The IWF have received several enquiries regarding websites displaying these videos.

Unless these videos feature illegal content as described here and have been posted on the internet, they do not fall into IWF remit and we are unable to take any action.

These are matters for the police and any incidents should be reported to the police directly.
If the incident took place in the UK, the police may be able to identify the assailants and the victim and take appropriate action.

If you find a movie of this nature and you believe the action is taking place in the UK, or you recognise the victim or assailant, please inform the police and report the crime.
