Answer: A Domain name is the title by which a web-site is known and is recognised by all users, companies and hosting companies on the internet. For more information on Domain names visit Nominet in the UK or Internic in the US, other countries will have their own organisation that operates their Domain name registrations.
Question: What happens if someone is using my name as a Domain name?
Answer: If in the UK you should contact Nominet or if you wish it go to to arbitration you can engage a specialist arbitor to act on behalf of the parties. If elsewhere, you should contact your local Domain name registration organisation.
Question: What happens if someone is mis-using a Domain name, or using an inappropriate Domain name?
Answer: You should report this to your Domain name registrant.
Question: Where should I report the use of a domain that implies advertising of child abuse websites?
Answer: IWF.
