Information for IT & HR Professionals
This section of the website has been designed to provide IT, HR, Legal & Regulatory professionals in England and Wales with information regarding the Sexual Offences Act 2003 which impacts on how potentially illegal child abuse images online should be handled if found on company servers. This information may also be relevant to Legal and Regulatory staff.
Recent research by the IWF has shown that many IT Professionals are not fully aware of this new legal framework which came into force in May 2004. In conjunction with a campaign in May 2005 which was designed to raise awareness of this legislation and the IWF, we hope this section will provide some clarity on your responsbilities and answer any relevant questions.
